Who is Mr. McClenning anyway?

Hey guys, Mr. McClenning here. Here are a few things about me you may not know.

I am from New Haven, CT. I moved to Atlanta to pursue a music career. I love playing guitar and love music. I started a band and had tons of fun playing all over the Southeast. I still write and perform my own music to this day. I also enjoy writing and performing fun songs for kids at Norton Park with Mr. Blalock in 2XBriyan.

I went to The George Washington University in Washington D.C. and earned a degree in Radio and TV Communications. I went cross country with some friends after college then moved to Atlanta just before the 1996 Olympics. Here is where I earned my teaching degree at Kennesaw State University.

I have lived right here in Smyrna for almost 15 years with my wife. We have a 9 year old daughter who keeps us VERY busy with all of her activities. Sometimes I feel like her personal Uber driver. I have spent my entire teaching career at Norton Park. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades on my own, as part of team teaching with Mrs. Madden, and departmentalized with Mrs. Madden.

I am currently the Early Intervention Program (EIP) teacher. I support teachers in certain classrooms with students who need a little extra help. If I work with you, please don't hesitate to reach out and tell me what you need. Keep up the hard work. Miss you guys.
